Sean Hanna Announces Candidacy for
130th Assembly District
Receives Endorsement of GOP & Conservative Party Chairs

Former DEC Regional Director and Monroe County Legislator Sean T. Hanna today announced his candidacy for New York State Assembly in the 130th District. The seat is open as a result of Assemblyman Joe Errigo’s recent announcement that he will not seek re-election.
"We have huge problems facing New York. They include oppressive taxes, stifling regulation, and a Democrat controlled state government that seems determined to drive every single business out of New York," Hanna said. "And make no mistake: Where those companies go, our children and grandchildren will follow. Then who will be left to turn us around?"
Throughout his career, Hanna has represented all 3 counties that comprise the 130th Assembly District, and his resume is unrivaled. He served for 6 years as an Assistant District Attorney, for more than 8 years as a County Legislator, and for 4 years as the 11-County Director of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. He is currently a lead trial attorney representing Monroe County.
"Assemblyman Joe Errigo has never wavered in his efforts to represent us, and filling his shoes won’t be an easy task," Hanna said. "I've never stopped living in or working for the people of Monroe County, and I can't wait to get my boots back on the ground in Ontario and Livingston counties. As an Assemblyman, I will go to Albany to move our State off the disastrous path that State Democrats have led us down and point us toward revival."
Hanna's announcement has been swiftly embraced by local party chairs. Monroe County Republican Chairman Bill Reilich, Ontario County Republican Chairman Jay Dutcher, and Livingston County Republican Chairman Lowell Conrad have all unified behind Hanna.
The Conservative Party is supporting Hanna's candidacy as well. Hanna has been endorsed by Monroe County Conservative Party Chairman Thomas Cook and Ontario County Conservative Party Chairman Steven Poyser. Livingston County does not have a Conservative Party Chair. Hanna is also seeking the endorsement of the Independence Party. Two weeks ago, Assemblyman Errigo publicly stated that he hoped to see Hanna succeed him in the Assembly.
