Tax and Spend Sandy:
Wrong on Taxes. Wrong for Monroe County
Politician Sandy Frankel today announced she wants to bring her record of higher taxes and runaway spending to the position of Monroe County Executive. Monroe County taxpayers should say "Not so Fast Frankel". During her tenure, Frankel has raised property taxes 12 times and nearly doubled town spending.
"Taxpayers beware. Sandy Frankel raised property taxes 12 times and nearly doubling government spending," said Chairman Bill Reilich. "And how did she reward herself? Tax and Spend Sandy gave herself a pay raise 16 times! Taxpayers can't afford Tax and Spend Sandy."
"By comparison, County Executive Maggie Brooks has honored her commitment to taxpayers by holding the line on property taxes every year she has been in office and has never received a pay raise as County Executive," Reilich said.
In addition to her failed financial policies, Frankel awarded herself a raise 16 times – increasing her salary by over 55%.
“Frankel’s tax and spend record proves that she is an unacceptable choice for taxpayers,” Reilich concluded.
